2 cups Maida
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
1 can Pineapple (500 gms)
2 tsp Vanilla Essence
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1/2 cup Nuts (chopped)
150 gms Butter
1 cup Condensed Milk
1/2 cup Sugar
Chopped Almonds for decoration
Sift maida , baking powder and powdered sugar and keep aside.
Crush the pineapple with its juice. Mix the sifted ingredients with the crushed pineapple, eggs and vanilla essence.
Beat with an electric beater for 3-6 minutes.
Grease a 9" X 13" pan and pour the cake batter into it.
Mix together the brown sugar and chopped nuts and sprinkle the mixture evenly on top of the cake batter.
Bake in a preheated moderate oven for 30 - 40 minutes or until cooked.
In a saucepan put the sugar, butter , condensed milk and whip it well on warm.
Pour this liquid over the cooled down cake.
Return the cake to refrigerator.
Serve cold with chopped almonds
